Breakdown

This was a challenging but rewarding project, which I edited alongside a coworker. With nine camera angles and over 2,000 clips, crafting a game recap for JMU’s first matchup against Louisiana required careful planning and organization, and was definitely overwhelming at first.

We highlighted the team’s halftime deficit and impressive comeback, using “When the Saints Go Marching In” as a playful nod to the opponent. To stay organized, we reset all camera clip counters before shooting and reviewed the broadcast melt to pinpoint key plays and audio moments. After building the initial cut, we refined the timeline, trimmed unnecessary shots, and incorporated multiple angles to create a fast-paced, engaging recap that I’m proud to showcase.
