Breakdown

This intro video was co-directed and co-edited with one of my coworkers. We planned and shot it on the indoor track, where we could fully control and stage lighting to build the right energy for the piece. With the team hosting two home meets, our goal was to give them something exciting that set the tone right from the start.

Our concept focused on the details of track and field like the equipment, the speed, the seniors, with dramatic iso shots to highlight their identity. In the editing process, we wanted to match the speed of the video to the fast tempo of the music to capture the intensity, pace, and explosive feel of the sport. This video played at the beginning of each home meet on the video board at Sentara Park.
